Accessibility Features
The Quattro web site has been re-designed with accessibility firmly in mind. A plain text version as well as regular, medium and large text versions are accessible with a single click from the menu at the top of every page. The web site complies with Web Content Accessibility Guidlines (WCAG 1.0. ) and with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (part III - Access to goods and services, part IV - Education) and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001. The UK Government accesskey standard has also been used throughout this website (listed below).
Location links on every page (seen in the top right corner below the main menu) called 'breadcrumbs' have been included on every page so that vistors know where they are in the site structure. Other special features have also been included in the web site to retain the design qualities even at higher text sizes. As an example the images on the homepage expand with the text size. The web site is filled with qualities like this.
Access Keys
Access keys provide a way for people who have difficulty using a mouse to access the core areas of the web site using the keyboard only. The UK Government has standardised certain accesskeys to point to common pages using numbers which are used here. Others keys are used here to allow users to access pages specific to this web site.
