Alderman Knight School
The existing school was in a poor state of repair and suffered from substandard areas, narrow corridors and poor circulation through the classrooms whilst lacking natural light and ventilation.
The school underwent a radical £6m transformation addressing the special education needs of the pupils and the vision of the school to create a welcoming, inspiring and calming environment.
Quattro were selected by the school and Gloucester County Council through a competitive process to develop the brief and design options. This involved an extensive stakeholder consultation process including pupils, staff, governors and parents. The school has since been recognised for its technical and design excellence.
