The extension and renovation of St Georges’s Hall in Bewdley’s historic town centre is phase one of a four year regeneration programme; the project is facilitated by Matrix Medical in partnership with the Bewdley Development Trust. New community facilities will be created, together with a library, a large new medical centre, a convenience retail store and affordable homes. Seed funding has been provided by Advantage West Midlands and Community Builders who will also provide most of the capital for the works to the Hall. As a sign of the times the majority of the capital funding for the scheme will be from private sources.
