A full planning application has been submitted for the construction of 14no. affordable homes on a rural exemption site in the village of Canon Pyon, Herefordshire. The design and layout of the units are based on creating a contemporary and sustainable environment for local residents. The orientation of the mono-pitch roofs, which are fitted with PV panels will take full advantage of the sun's energy and will provide the homes with free electricity. Sustainable heating and ventilation systems are proposed to negate the need to use more traditional and non-renewable methods such as oil or gas.
