On Monday 17th October, Guinness Hermitage held an official opening ceremony for its extra-care scheme, Castle Ham Lodge in Okehampton.  Quattro designed a major re-development of the former Castle Hospital site to provide 50 purpose built flats and additional facilities for the community, including a hairdressers, consultation rooms, café, three multi-purpose activity rooms and secure courtyard spaces and gardens for residents and their guests to enjoy.  Castle Ham Lodge is the first scheme to be built under the Devon Commissioning strategy for extra-care and Alison Golby, Strategic Commissioning Manager for the County Council, spoke of her pride to be involved with this fabulous resource for the community.
