PIT PONY
Quattro recently received planning approval for the Pit Pony Housing scheme in Easton, Bristol, the fifth scheme undertaken with Elim Housing Association. The scheme incorporates 14 2 bed flats with an additional 7 family houses on the site of yet another former pub. The design responds to significant site constraints including external noise sources, suds requirements, solar orientation and surveillance in addition to maximising external amenity spaces in the form of roof terraces. As a result the scheme achieved a Building for Life score of 16 out 20. The £2.4m project is due to start on site in March and will aim to achieve code for sustainable homes level 4.
