Kingsway Primary School

Quattro’s vision for Kingsway was to design a building that created a sense of place; that reflected the spirit of the former RAF site on which it is built and that created an environment to enhance learning and teaching, delighting children, parents and staff through its form and colours.

Digital energy-use readouts, solar panels and windcatchers are sustainable design features which provide direct opportunities for the pupils to learn. The building achieved a BREEAM very good rating. Large open multi-use internal areas provide flexibility to deliver the curriculum in alternative environments whilst the enclosed external spaces providing secure areas for children to play and learn.
