Children's Mental Health Week
It’s Children’s Mental Health Week, an important week every year but with COVID still at large and children still “locked” indoors, a rise in the number of children and adolescents admitted for both inpatient and outpatient Mental Healthcare is anticipated.
This in turn will put pressure on an already overwhelmed NHS and existing facilities will need to adapt quickly to cater for this.
Enlightened Trusts and Healthcare providers are collaborating with Healthcare Designers and recognising the importance of child/adolescent-centred design to create healing environments, benefitting both patients and staff alike.
For over 20 years’, Quattro’s Healthcare Architects have been designing schemes for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. We have worked with Multi-Disciplinary Community Health Teams on projects delivering local services, often incorporated within larger multi-use buildings and we have an in-depth understanding of the issues and challenges associated with these services and how they impact on the design and implementation of alterations to existing buildings.
Adaptable, flexible human-centred design lies at the heart of our Child and Adolescent Mental Healthcare Architecture.
