Margaret Stancomb – shortlisted at British Homes Awards
We’re keeping our fingers crossed for today’s announcement about the winners of the British Homes Awards.
Margaret Stancomb, already an award-winning wining residential development, has been shortlisted in the Affordable Housing category of these prestigious national awards celebrating exceptional design in British home building.
This is a fantastic achievement, being the only shortlisted development outside of the South East of England – testament to the success of our partnership with Selwood and E G Carters.
Requiring a sensitive approach in design, this former 19th century Infant and Nursery School, recognised as a non-designated Heritage Asset, was carefully converted by taking into consideration the Trowbridge Town Conservation Area and nearby listed buildings. Our sympathetic design creates a ‘sense of place’ and retains the existing school building as the dominant visual feature. It is fantastic to see the hard work of all involved being recognised by these awards.
