This project was part funded by the Southgate Street Townscape Heritage Initiative. The scheme was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and administered by Gloucester City Council. Due to the downturn in the economy and lack of investment in the area over the years, there has been a decline in condition of the older buildings (many of which are Grade II Listed) and the street scene of Southgate Street. Structural repairs are required to many of the buildings and architectural detailing needs to be reinstated. The scheme was set up to improve the setting of Southgate Street and resolve these issues.

Quattro Design Architects was appointed to discharge the conditions for the Listed Building Consent and planning permission already granted for the site. This was followed by the preparation of working drawings and the tender package and also administering the contract on site (RIBA Stages 4 – 6). The works are being carried out under a JCT Minor Works Contract and the project is close to completion.
