What do you like most about Quattro?

There are many great opportunities for growth and development at Quattro. Everyone is so passionate about their job and focused on how they can gain extra knowledge to become even better at what they do. Throughout my time at university, everyone at Quattro was incredibly helpful from offering me advice to giving me guidance on what the next steps are to become an architect.

What does creativity mean to you, and why is it important at Quattro?

To me, creativity means the ability to generate original and valuable ideas when producing something new and unique to meet the individual needs of each client. It is important that, as a company, everyone is approachable, which allows creativity to be shared across the practice. It is this shared creativity that allows us to produce the award winning, sustainable designs we are so well known for.

What’s the most innovative project you’ve worked on so far?

Whitchurch Road in Telford was a fantastically innovative project. The challenge was to turn an existing building into a warming and comfortable space for residents to live in. This project provided a great opportunity to incorporate new design language into the building, whilst retaining the original characteristics and charm of the site. Working as a team, we were able to create an aesthetically stunning space whilst retaining excellent functionality for residents.

Quattro talks a lot about collaboration – how do you ensure you work collaboratively with your clients?

It is important that we engage with our clients throughout the entire design process. By asking clients for their thoughts we are able to create a unique design fit. Regular meetings, and providing clients with regular updates, is an absolute priority for us as this cultures trust and creates a positive working relationship. It is this personal touch which leads to refined designs and allows us to exceed expectations.

What sparked your interest in architecture?

In my last few years at school, I started gaining a real interest in how buildings are constructed; especially the aesthetics and design. I knew it was something I wanted to pursue further whilst undertaking my GCSE in design technology. I then chose to take on an apprenticeship, with Quattro, which provided me with an even greater understanding of architecture, which has led me to where I am now. Following the completion of my apprenticeship and degree, I am thoroughly looking forward to enhancing my knowledge even further and working ever-closer with our team and clients.
