Within our team of specialists, we have BPSS screened and SC cleared staff

As prescribers of fit for the future Architecture, our specialist team of Architectural Consultants and Technicians has been highly successful in the delivery of innovative, sustainable and technically strong design solutions for Defence clients. This includes: Industrial Buildings, Stores, Support Accommodation, Messes, Single Living Accommodation (SLA) and Married Quarters. From complex new technical buildings to the simple redesign of existing spaces, we continue to meet the evolving needs of our Defence Estate.

Our duties have included, full design services from RIBA 0-7; Lead Designer managing the Consulting Team; Leading Stakeholder Engagement; Principal Designer; Strategic Planning Advice and Project Reviews.

Maximising budget and building/space efficiency, whilst minimising disruption and subsequent running costs, underpins our approach to all our MOD clients. The quality assurance of our work is further reinforced by our ISO 9001 Practice Certification.

As champions of Sustainable Design from our inception in 1984, we have established a significant record of delivering Sustainable Architectural Solutions over the last 36 years.

With this extensive experience and our inhouse Passivhaus House Designers, Quattro is well placed to support the MOD in its adoption of new and emerging technologies to reduce the Defence Estate’s Carbon Emissions in our combined efforts to reach Carbon Net Zero in the UK by 2050.

Our collaborative approach and early adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM), has led to substantial experience over the years; we are now a leading practice in BIM, having reached a meaningful BIM Maturity Level 2. This flow of data, between the Design Team and Client, through every stage of a project from inception to the whole life cycle of a building, optimises efficiency in Planning, Design, Construction and Management and delivers great buildings and spaces.

Our Defence experience has led us to understand the importance of adopting a collaborative and agile working methodology within the Defence sector. This inclusive and flexible way of working allows us to focus energy rapidly, through short, iterative, interactive sessions/sprints to achieve a deadline, without compromising the wider project scope.

For more conceptual design, Quattro’s experienced Visualisation Team is on hand employing the latest 3D and Interactive Technology enabling our MOD clients to envisage/edit schemes ahead of build.

Delivery of our Architectural Services has often been within complex environments, where safety and security remain paramount. This includes working with the contractor to plan out site compound areas, screening, site separation and security to ensure no disruption to the surrounding site’s continued operation.
