We sat down with Joe to delve into his experience and to gain insights into our collaborative work culture.

What initially inspired you to pursue a career in architecture, and how has that passion evolved throughout your time at Quattro?

There was no moment of sudden realisation for myself, the passion was there from the childhood starting with simple building blocks progressing into an interest in architectural features which surround us. Working at Quattro has enabled that passion to grow further through the closer analysis of the design of buildings within different sectors of the built environment.

As you reflect on your 5-years with Quattro, what would you say are the most significant lessons you’ve learned about architecture and the design process?

There’s no hard and fast rule for design, no site is the same requiring different and pragmatic approaches to scheme designs each time. The Quattro team have really helped me develop this flexible approach to design, which translates into amazing, tailored projects for our clients.

How do you approach collaboration with clients and colleagues, and how has this collaborative spirit contributed to the success of Quattro’s projects?

By collaborating with both clients and the broader design teams right from the project’s inception, I gain a comprehensive understanding of the project’s objectives. This approach empowers me to effectively interpret and address the project brief, ultimately enabling us to create and deliver schemes that consistently exceed expectations.

As you celebrate your anniversary with us, what aspects of Quattro’s culture and values do you find most meaningful and motivating?

During my 5 years working at Quattro, I’ve always enjoyed the many activities it has to offer which are also engrained into its culture. One such example are regular design parties where we may visit nearby buildings to take inspiration for future designs or to assess new innovative features to implement into our schemes. Quattro’s design parties also allow us to explore creativity to a higher level by taking part in design competitions or charrettes.

Looking ahead, what exciting trends or innovations do you see shaping the future of architecture, and how do you envision Quattro’s role in this evolving landscape?

Whilst sustainability has always been, and will remain, at the forefront of our schemes I see us continuing this on further by integrating new technologies and innovative design features into our designs to create more efficient schemes for future owners and residents.
