Architecture is an art form that combines design, creativity, and engineering to create functional spaces that are aesthetically pleasing. When done right, architecture has the power to transform spaces.
Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, Foston’s Ash Inn is a Grade II Listed pub and restaurant that has recently been purchased by Will Lloyd-Baker. The pub and restaurant is currently closed and will re-open following a series of improvements, under the watchful eye of Quattro Design Architects.
Quattro is delighted that Will has appointed us to act as architects to manage this exciting project from inception to completion. We are pleased to report that Planning / Listed Building Consent for an extension to the kitchen, a new pergola, and internal alterations, including a new bar has now been approved.
The proposed alterations and extension will enhance the existing building and create a more functional space for customers. The new kitchen extension will enable the chefs to cater to a larger number of customers and serve a wider range of dishes. The new pergola will provide customers with an outdoor seating area, allowing them to enjoy their meals al fresco. Guests will also be able to view Will’s talented team of chefs preparing meals as they walk past a set of new windows on the approach to the venue’s new entrance.
The internal alterations, including a new bar, will improve the flow of the space and make it easier for customers to move around. The new bar will be the focal point of the pub and will create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The alterations and extension will also enhance the building’s aesthetics, creating a more cohesive and attractive space. Further, the additions to the Foston’s Ash Inn will, once again, give the community a stunning local attraction for them to enjoy, and to help drive the local economy forward.
Whether you’re renovating a historic building or creating a new space from scratch, architecture has the power to transform spaces and enhance the quality of life of those who inhabit them.
