Ministers Publish 400-page document Tackling Climate Change and Carbon Emissions.
Net-Zero Carbon Architecture is high on our agenda and as we head towards the COP26 global climate summit in Glasgow, the pressure to wake up and take action is palpable; an urgent shift to a zero-carbon green economy is gaining in momentum.
On Monday we heard how green credentials will now need to be set out by some businesses to potential investors. The Government is making sustainability a key component of investment decision to encourage more environmentally led decisions.
Only a day later, (yesterday) the Government published its strategy for greenhouse gas emissions to reach a net zero target by 2050. Currently the built environment contributes around 40% of the UK’s total carbon footprint and in this radical announcement the government sets out its strategy to address emissions from our stock of 30 million buildings.
Today, Wednesday, in the national press we hear more about the government’s Net Zero Strategy, a 400-page document detailing the future of tackling climate change and carbon emissions.
